I chose safety over a roadtrip. This is depressing

I was supposed to go to Quebec City, (its about 500 kms east of here) but seeing as we are getting a ton of snow and freezing rain today-sunday, I just decided to cancel the trip.

I regret this decision, but it had to be made. Busy highways in freezing rain is almost a guaranteed accident.

I hate being responsible, it's so damn boring.

Edit: here is the forecast. I can't upload pics from here, but my route would basically be along the more northern highway and into quebec.

It's the other drivers I don't trust.

Understandable - it's snowing like the dickens right now here in Montreal, but thankfully it looks like the freezing rain is going to stay in Ontario.

HA! Suck it, Ontario!

(sorry)

Yeah, I am up north of 401, so it might have been alright, but I had to decide yesterday to avoid the cancellation fees. Oh well.

You're not the first! I'm driving Ottawa - Toronto and decided to push it until tomorrow morning to avoid the worst of it, thanks in no small part to the fact I'm driving a rental car with tires that can't hook up at any lights.

That seems to be the best time to travel. Thing is I have to come back to Ottawa on Sunday, so I just gave up. Some other time.
